HELP, I need somebody... Says An Obsessed Indian Middle Class
The Help, written by Katherine Stokett talked about race and class in the 1960s in America.
How far removed are we in India from that picture of inequality when it comes down to India's own relationship with it's ' help' i wonder.
The only little course correction that the global pandemic coming to India offered was that the middle class totally dependent on their' help' until then, found themselves having to do their own dishes and sweeping and dusting.
Instagram was flooded with pictures of celebrities holding mops and brooms..
